Happy Father's Day to all the incredibly amazing Dads out there - You know who you are! Thank you for being the fabulous Dad that you are and raising such great children!
I think Father's Day is great! The time of year is absolutely perfect too because you know that most likely it will be just the right temperature for a nice outdoor activity.
It also reminded me today that it's going to be hard with Katarina every year on this special day for Dads. It will be a yearly reminder that she doesn't have a father. My wish for her is that every year she remembers that she's going to be just great without a father in her life and that it's going to be ok. I think about the Father - Daughter dances that will begin when she goes to school and how I'll have to find a substitute. But the reality is, she'll learn to understand that things happen for a reason and while there will be hard days and days she wishes she had a father, we're a strong unit together and we'll make it through! So every Father's Day, we're going to make it a point to have a great time... and this year, we went to the beach!
